Job Description

The Performance Buyer is responsible for the hands-on execution, management, and optimization of programmatic media campaigns across DV360 and The Trade Desk. This role supports the Programmatic Supervisor in driving performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering against client KPIs. You will be deeply embedded in-platform, building campaigns, monitoring pacing, implementing optimizations, and supporting reporting efforts. This is an execution-focused role.

Job Responsibility

  • Build, launch, and QA programmatic campaigns within DV360 and The Trade Desk
  • Execute across display, video, CTV, audio, and YouTube environments
  • Implement PMP, preferred deal (PD), and programmatic guaranteed (PG) activations
  • Ensure proper tracking, taxonomy, and campaign setup best practices
  • Manage daily pacing and budget allocations to ensure delivery against plan
  • Monitor campaign performance and proactively optimize toward KPIs
  • Apply bid adjustments, audience refinements, frequency caps, inventory optimizations, and creative testing
  • Identify underperforming segments and recommend data-driven improvements
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and audience expansion strategies
  • Activate and manage first- and third-party audience segments (e.g., Acxiom, Experian, LiveRamp)
  • Support custom audience builds and lookalike modeling initiatives
  • Assist with pixel implementation and troubleshooting
  • Pull performance reports and assist in analyzing trends and insights
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms
  • Highlight optimization opportunities and performance shifts
  • Work closely with the Programmatic Supervisor on optimizations
  • Partner with Planning, Analytics, and Ad Operations teams to ensure seamless campaign execution
  • Stay current on platform updates, beta opportunities, and emerging inventory solutions

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on performance/programmatic buying experience
  • Working knowledge of DV360 and/or The Trade Desk (experience in DV360 required, both preferred)
  • Familiarity with PMP and deal-based buying
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with performance data
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
