Job Description:

Our partner is looking for a Performance Analyst to join their Global Operations department in Budapest. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of investment data, helping clients and internal teams understand financial outcomes. This position focuses on producing high-quality performance reports, attribution analysis, and risk statistics. You will work closely with Investment, Distribution, Client Services, and Product teams, while utilizing industry-standard systems to drive operational excellence and data integrity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create detailed daily and monthly performance reports covering NAV-based returns and risk statistics
  • Run performance attribution analysis to identify and explain the drivers of portfolio results
  • Manage composite structures and assist in the creation of compliant performance reports
  • Perform competitive analysis using market data tools to benchmark funds against peer groups
  • Distribute essential market data reports utilizing major financial databases
  • Ensure all reporting activities strictly adhere to global performance standards like GIPS
  • Drive the automation and optimization of existing reporting workflows to boost efficiency
  • Handle complex data inquiries for RFPs and support client service teams with accurate information
  • Partner with external software providers to resolve data discrepancies and maintain system integrity

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Background in investment performance analysis or data-driven finance roles
  • Hands-on experience with systems like FactSet, Bloomberg, or Aladdin
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for data manipulation and formula management
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
