Job Description

The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospitalist Program provides specialized, efficient and coordinated care for our hospitalized patients. The per diem hospitalist has the option to take daytime and/or nighttime shifts at any of the four hospitalist pods-Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Fort Bend, Woodlands and Vintage.

Job Responsibility

  • Round and coordinate care of already admitted patients
  • Admit patients from the ER in assigned hospital (daytime)
  • Respond to ER calls and admit patients (nighttime)
  • Stay in house for duration of shift (nocturnal)
  • Manage patients in hospital and interact with specialists
  • Transition follow up care to daytime hospitalist
  • Participate in hospital committees, initiatives, and KSC Hospital Service/IM Department activities

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD, DO)
  • Accredited Residency training
  • Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
