Satisfy Per Diem program requirements within dept

Job Responsibility

Organize and deliver medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part
Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups
THERAPY - Evaluate patient to determine treatment goals
outline delivery of therapy according to assessed needs
plan therapy program involving physical means to include exercise, massage, heat, sound, water, light, and electricity
EVALUATION - Apply methodology for evaluation of functional ability
CONSULTATION - Consult with medical staff on patient care
EDUCATION - Educate patient in use of specialized equipment, posture control, and therapeutic procedures
INSTRUCTION - Instruct caregivers on prescribed physical therapy regimen

Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
1 year directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE

Job Responsibility

Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients consistent with clinical specialty (PCU/ICU/ED etc.), independent of patient location
Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care
Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
Minimum work requirement for RN Per Diem III is ten shifts per schedule. Two weekend shift per schedule and one summer and one winter holiday are required
This position does not qualify for out of area float pay
Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups
PATIENT CARE - Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
POLICIES - Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies
CARE PLAN - Work in collaboration with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
TESTS AND PROCEDURES - Assist with special tests and procedures, ensure proper consent has been obtained
