In this role, you will ensure an exceptional associate / future associate experience at Fortune Brands Innovations. You will be a key member of the People Services team ensuring associates and future associates have information they need, that HR operational tasks run smoothly, and providing an exceptional HR experience – all while growing your own skills to further your HR career. As a People Services Specialist, you will have core responsibilities in a variety of the areas listed below as well as the opportunity to contribute through special projects and assignments as we grow our team’s scope of services. You’ll also have the ability to specialize in certain responsibilities that meet your unique skills & career desires.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the first point of contact for associates, providing exceptional customer service in addressing day-to-day questions via the AskHR inbox, phone calls, and in person support
Support managers & associates in effectively using our self-serve tools like our intranet site, Front Door, & Workday
Administer the onboarding & new hire experience – including post-offer background check & drug screen, system hiring in Workday, accurate completion of Form I9, and first week experience
Complete timely & accurate Workday data entry for position requisitions, new hires, job changes, and terminations
Administer the offboarding process – including completing the termination checklist
Monitor implementation of HR policies, including sign-offs
Administer various HR programs such as tuition reimbursement, relocation, referrals, rebates and more
Support associates & managers with their questions and provide tracking and/or reminders during key HR processes – such as benefits enrollment, performance management, engagement surveys, and more
Support HR team with special projects
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in HR, HR Operations, HR Technology, Recruiting or Shared Services (including internships)
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Demonstrated exceptional level customer service skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiar using any cloud-based file sharing platform (e.g. Box, SharePoint, Google Drive, etc.)
Familiar using any HRIS platform (e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors, Kronos Dimensions, etc.)
Familiar using any ATS platform (e.g. Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters, Lever, etc.)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and leverage appropriate discretion
Ability to meet deadlines and service level expectations
Nice to have:
Associate’s degree or higher in HR or related field
