Job Description:

This is a 6 month fixed term opportunity to join a busy, collaborative and supportive People Services team at a key point of change. You will play an important role in maintaining high‑quality, day‑to‑day HR services while the team transitions between HR systems and focuses on wider project and improvement work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintaining employee records and HR systems
  • Data entry, processing changes, checking information, correcting errors
  • Proactively following up outstanding documentation
  • Supporting core people processes such as absence recording, contractual changes and general HR administration
  • Responding to queries from staff and managers by email, phone or Teams
  • Supporting essential compliance activities including DBS renewals, right to work checks and driving checks
  • Producing reports, supporting audits and assisting with business-as-usual activity
  • Working closely with colleagues, offering practical support
  • Helping to free up capacity so the team can focus on system implementation, projects and service improvements
  • Suggesting improvements to processes and ways of working

Requirements:

  • Experienced HR or People Services administrator
  • Solid understanding of HR administration and processes
  • Comfortable making day-to-day decisions using good judgement within a people services environment
  • Highly organised, methodical and detail-focused
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and data quality
  • Naturally curious and conscientious
  • Willing to check information, chase missing documentation and question inconsistencies
  • Customer-focused, approachable and supportive
  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Experience of working with HR systems is essential
  • CascadeHR and People XD a strong advantage
  • Confidence using Microsoft applications
