The Opportunity This position will be responsible for executing and supporting payroll exception processes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with established policies, controls, and SLAs, as well as participating in transition projects. Your Impact Key responsibilities include: Execute off-cycle payments resulting from payroll errors or omissions, ensuring proper validation, documentation, and alignment with policies and criteria defined by the Sector and Strada (payroll provider). Manage overpayment cases, including: Root cause analysis Support in accounting booking Assistance with offset and recovery processes Handling early return-to-work cases in accordance with established guideline Execute operational controls and validations to prevent discrepancies and overpayments, documenting evidence and identified deviations. This includes maintaining updated documentation and trackers to ensure traceability and support for internal and external audits. Analyze and monitor weekly and monthly process KPIs, identifying trends, deviations, and potential operational risks. Provide timely follow-up on critical cases and contingencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and collaboration with key stakeholders for resolution. Participate and collaborate in transition and/or scope expansion projects, providing operational support, analysis, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in payroll operations, payroll exceptions, or related areas
  • Understanding of payroll processes, including off-cycle payments, overpayments, and reconciliation practices
  • Experience working with external payroll vendors (BPO) and global/regional payroll environments is preferred
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and identify process improvements
  • Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements is highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll/HR systems (e.g., SAP, EC, or similar)
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional and international teams
  • Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English
