Job Description

Lead the optimisation of our HRIS Dayforce platform at JD Sports. Drive smarter systems, better data and scalable HR operations that power business performance. This is a role for a true Dayforce expert — someone who knows how to unlock the full potential of a HRIS, drive automation, and turn systems into a powerful enabler of business performance. You’ll lead the optimisation of our new platform, ensuring it is fully embedded, efficient, compliant and delivering real value across the employee lifecycle — from onboarding through to payroll, reporting and governance.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and optimise Dayforce — driving automation, configuration, upgrades and continuous improvement
  • Identify and deliver efficiency gains through smarter workflows, integrations and process design
  • Partner with IT and managed services to ensure strong governance, security and system integrity
  • Lead compliance frameworks across payroll, onboarding, data privacy and right-to-work requirements
  • Stay ahead of legislative changes and embed compliance into systems and processes
  • Drive data accuracy and integrity across HRIS, payroll and finance platforms
  • Build and deliver insightful workforce reporting
  • Lead internal audits, reviews and compliance checks
  • Coach and develop the team on best practice and system efficiencies
  • Drive automation and transformation initiatives
  • Support key business projects including new store openings, system enhancements and integration initiatives

Requirements

  • HRIS specialist with Dayforce capability
  • Proven ability to drive efficiency through HRIS optimisation
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and compliance frameworks
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments (Retail, FMCG, Hospitality or similar)
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, awards and compliance requirements
  • Comfortable partnering with IT, Finance and external vendors
  • A problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Confident operating at both strategic and hands-on levels

  • Serve as the senior People Operations partner for Tripadvisor’s Poland-based employees and leaders, with a particular focus on the Kraków technology hub
  • Act as a trusted advisor to local business leaders and global People Operations teams, balancing business priorities with enterprise-wide people strategy
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, employee engagement, performance management, and talent development
  • Partner with leaders to identify and address people-related risks, including employee burnout, retention challenges, manager capability gaps, and organizational change impacts
  • Support the continued maturation of the Kraków site by strengthening local culture, operating practices, and employee experience
  • Serve as Tripadvisor’s primary subject matter expert on Polish employment law and HR compliance, in partnership with legal counsel
  • Advise managers, People Operations, Legal, Finance, and G&A stakeholders on local employment matters before decisions are made, including terminations, notice periods, disciplinary processes, non-competes, working time, leaves of absence, and employment documentation
  • Ensure local HR processes are compliant with the Polish Labour Code, ZUS requirements, and applicable employment regulations
  • Partner with Legal and external advisors to monitor legislative changes and brief global People stakeholders on relevant updates before they take effect
  • Proactively audit local policies, documentation, and practices to maintain readiness for Labour Inspectorate inspections and other compliance reviews
