Job Description:

As we step into our next phase of growth, Everlaw is looking for a People Operations Program Manager to lead our day to day operations and design, scale, and manage the infrastructure that powers our employee experience. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our People processes are seamless, scalable, and human-centric. To do this, you’ll partner closely with our People, Finance, and Legal teams to manage our People tech stack and day to day operations —ensuring that every Everlawyer has the support they need to do their best work. This role requires a unique blend of operational excellence, technical savvy, and a "service-first" mindset. You are someone who enjoys diving into the "pipes" of an organization to ensure they are leak-proof, while proactively identifying ways to improve the system for everyone.

Job Responsibility:

  • Optimize our People Tech stack: You will manage and improve the tools that define our employee lifecycle—including our HRIS (Rippling), performance management (Lattice), and leave management systems. You’ll ensure these tools deliver a first-class experience while maintaining 100% data integrity
  • Administer core People offerings: You’ll be the hands-on owner and trusted partner for our core programs, including health insurance plans, 401(k)/retirement, leaves of absence, and immigration. You’ll ensure these programs run smoothly and that employees feel supported during life’s big moments
  • Lead our compliance & governance strategy: In partnership with counsel, you will ensure we remain proactive and compliant as we expand. You will roll out a thoughtful data governance framework, managing role-based access requests to balance stakeholder needs with the responsibility to safeguard confidential employee data
  • Drive operational scalability: You will continually assess our workflows to identify bottlenecks. Whether it’s automating a manual task or redesigning a rollout, you’ll identify areas of opportunity to scale our impact and deliver high-touch support that Everlawyers can count on
  • Uphold data as a source of truth: You will serve as the primary guardian of our people data, ensuring it is accurate, accessible, and used to drive informed decision-making across the People team

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or HR Systems roles, ideally within a high-growth environment or in an organization of >700 employees
  • Deep Tech Stack Expertise: Proven experience managing an HRIS and specialized tools for performance or leave management. Direct familiarity with Rippling and Lattice will be helpful to hit the ground running
  • Benefits & Compliance Knowledge: Practical experience administering US benefits (health, 401k) and a solid grasp of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO)
  • Vendor Management: Prior experience engaging with vendors to ensure mutually beneficial terms and strong, warm relationships
  • Data Proficiency: Strong skills in Google Sheets/Excel for data auditing, reporting, and dashboard creation
  • You are authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have:

  • Experience scaling People tools at growth/late stage companies with >1000 employees
  • Familiarity with additional systems/tools, including Ascensus, Cocoon, Greenhouse, Pave, Vanguard and Workday
  • Experience managing immigration/visa processes directly, or with the help of a partner
  • Experience with project management frameworks or tools (Jira, Monday)
  • Experience building AI agents, with models like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, or applications like Glean
What we offer:
  • Participation in our equity program
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • HSAs and FSAs for various expenses
  • Company-sponsored life and disability insurance
  • Paid parental leave and sick leave
  • 17 paid vacation days plus 11 federal holidays
  • Access to mental health and wellness resources like membership to Modern Health
  • A generous L&D stipend for your personal growth
  • A beautiful office in Uptown Oakland, just steps from the BART line and dozens of restaurants and walking distance to Lake Merritt
  • Flexible work-from-home days on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Monthly home internet reimbursement
  • Ability to select your hardware of choice (Mac or PC) and customize your desk setup
  • A wide variety of snacks and beverages in the office
  • Company-wide out-of-the-box events and fun activities with your team
  • Time off for company-sponsored volunteer events and 4 paid hours per quarter to volunteer at a charitable organization of your choice
  • Learning and career development opportunities (and a generous budget!)
