Job Description:

The People Operations Coordinator is, primarily, a site-focused role responsible for providing high-quality administrative and operational HR support in close partnership with the People Business Partner (PBP). This position serves as a primary point of contact for employees during weekends and high-volume periods, supporting orientation, offboarding, employee inquiries, payroll processes, and daily People Operations to ensure timely, compliant, and consistent service. The role is primarily based at the Gilbert, Arizona site, with secondary support for the Mesa, Arizona location and broader network needs, as required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide general HR support and serve as the first point of contact for weekend staff HR needs
  • Conduct weekly New Hire Orientation sessions
  • Facilitate first-day onboarding logistics, including introductions with IT to ensure system access and equipment setup
  • Ensure new hire documentation is complete, accurate, and properly stored
  • Assist with payroll administration by tracking and updating pay stipends, leaves of absence (LOA), time-off corrections, and off-cycle payroll changes
  • Respond to employee requests and inquiries, including but not limited to: Employment verifications, name changes and garnishment processing and documentation
  • Complete 90-day anniversary reporting and tracking
  • Manage MVR processes, ensuring proper documentation and signatures are maintained
  • Process employee terminations and manage the offboarding checklist, ensuring time-sensitive actions are completed
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • document trends and escalate concerns to PBPs as appropriate
  • When PBPs are managing multiple cases, own initial employee relations intake conversations and escalate as needed
  • Ensure accurate documentation, timely follow-ups, and adherence to policy, People Operations processes and deadlines
  • Provide administrative and operational support to other People Business Partners
  • Assist with HR audits, system clean-up projects, and data accuracy initiatives

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or an administrative HR support role preferred
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Familiarity with I-9 compliance, payroll processes, and basic employment law requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, site-based environment
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
