Genuine Parts Company (GPC) Asia Pacific is seeking a passionate and commercially savvy People, Culture & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team in a hybrid role. Ideally based at our national support office in Rowville, VIC, we can offer flexiblity for the right person (eg Cambpellfield, Broadmeadows, or even regionally). This is a highly visible role partnering strategically with our NAPA and Repco retail and trade store networks across Victoria and Tasmania. As a key strategic HR partner to our Sales and Operations leaders, you will drive meaningful business outcomes through strong stakeholder relationships, proactive initiatives, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to bring commercial insight and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment, predominantly focused on the automotive aftermarket parts sector. Reporting to the General Manager, People, Culture & Wellbeing (ANZ), you will work collaboratively with leaders at all levels to embed pragmatic, commercially aligned people initiatives that build capability and drive performance. This genuine business partnering opportunity will allow you to expand and apply your HR business partnership skills in a challenging, dynamic, and inclusive workplace.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be a trusted HR advisor and coach, partnering closely and authentically with leaders to deliver commercial and people outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders ranging from entry-level retail team members through to professional managers and senior leaders
  • Combine proactive strategic partnership with reactive capability, balancing workforce planning, talent development, and employee relations with hands-on problem solving
  • Lead talent and succession planning initiatives to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of future leaders
  • Support and advise on performance management, employee relations, and complex workplace investigations with the required level of expertise
  • Provide change leadership to various HR and business initiatives to help ensure projects land effectively and are well embedded
  • Manage cyclic HR activities aligned with GPC’s broader People Strategy, while working at pace across multiple initiatives
  • Collaborate with the WHS team to embed safety programs and contribute positively to overall wellbeing and engagement
  • Actively contribute to our wider People, Culture & Wellbeing team, supporting cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Some travel expected
