Job Responsibility:
Lead all People & Culture initiatives for the new luxury hotel, from pre-opening through ongoing operations, ensuring a seamless, high-end employee experience that reflects Sofitel’s values
Manage end-to-end recruitment for all positions, delivering an exceptional luxury candidate experience and attracting top talent aligned with the brand
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and performance management, ensuring fairness, consistency, and confidentiality
Oversee HR systems, maintain accurate data, and generate insightful reports for senior management to support strategic decision-making
Foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance workplace culture, supporting onboarding, L&D programs, and ongoing employee engagement initiatives
Provide leadership and guidance to hotel managers and department heads, ensuring consistent HR practices and high standards of team management across the property
Assist with payroll preparation, compliance audits, right-to-work checks, and contribute to wellbeing, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), and D&I initiatives
Drive broader People & Culture projects, including HR system upgrades, engagement surveys, and global Accor programs, ensuring alignment with company strategy, luxury brand standards, and organizational values
Act as a strategic partner to leadership, helping shape the culture, engagement, and talent strategy of the hotel, ensuring the team thrives both during pre-opening and ongoing operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
A postgraduate degree in Leadership or People Management is highly desirable
Proven experience in HR management, ideally within luxury hospitality or high-end service industries, including pre-opening experience
Strong expertise in end-to-end recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations
Solid knowledge of HR systems, reporting, and analytics, with the ability to generate actionable insights
Deep understanding of Brazilian labor laws, compliance requirements, payroll processes, and HR best practices
Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams
Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives and brand standards
Fluent in Portuguese and English
High level of professionalism and discretion
