Job Responsibility:

  • Provide trusted, practical employment relations advice to leaders and teams
  • Work closely with leaders to proactively manage and resolve ER matters, including performance management, ER processes and documentation and organisational change
  • Contribute to broader people initiatives across policy, engagement and generalist HR activities
  • Influence, coach and lift capability across the business

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist or advisory role, ideally within a multi-site or operational environment
  • Proven experience managing a wide range of employment relations matters, including disciplinaries, performance management and change processes
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and innovative HR approaches
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, applied to ER investigations and risk assessment
  • Clear, confident written communication skills for ER documentation
  • The ability to build credible relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Sound judgement, resilience and the confidence to provide clear, balanced advice
