The People and Wellbeing Business Partner operates within a dedicated client portfolio and is responsible for understanding their stakeholder needs and priorities and driving solutions that blend institutional realities with people orientation. Operating as a trusted advisor to the University's people managers, the Business Partner will work to shape a people centred culture and deliver a breadth of people initiatives with both transformational and operational impact.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with senior leaders to operationalise portfolio strategy and priorities into pragmatic workforce solutions and people plans, and coordinate delivery of these.
Provide timely and professional advice and guidance to leaders on a wide range of employee relations, industrial relations, and complex people management matters.
Guide leaders on interpretation and application of HR policies, enterprise agreements, and legislation.
Support managers to address performance concerns, misconduct matters, complaints, and workplace conflict.
Partner with Networks of Expertise (e.g., Organisational Development, Workplace Relations) to deliver integrated people solutions.
Requirements:
Professional HR experience in large and/or complex organisations, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation, including experience applying and advising leaders on enterprise agreements and HR policy frameworks.
Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with leaders at multiple levels.
Ability to see through the eyes of a people manager and understand their strategic priorities at a high level to ensure appropriate advice and counsel is provided.
Experience working collaboratively with specialist teams across an organisation or HR function to deliver integrated people solutions.
What we offer:
Total remuneration package of up to $130,943 comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.
