This key role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the People and Culture department. You will be a part of our dynamic team, delivering service with energy and enthusiasm to our internal and external guests. Job Responsibility:
Coordinates all aspects of recruitment including job postings, interviews and job offers, tracking applicants and ensuring follow up
Manages benefits administration and billing processes
Administrates the Leave of Absence program
Provides guidance and counsel to employees and managers
Champions the employee experience through organization of activities, communication tools and programming including employee of the month celebrations
Strategic partner with Assistant Director of People and Culture to ensure continuous growth within our hotel and team
Alongside the Assistant Director, facilitates the learning and development process within the hotel
Requirements:
College education in Human Resources or Hospitality Business Management or equivalent experience preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a People and Culture (HR) Supervisor or Generalist
A general working knowledge of labor laws (Local, State, and Federal) and union relations
Experience in process development and implementation
Verbal and written command of the English language (multi-lingual preferred)
Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience with HRIS systems
Workday preferred
Strong Attention to detail
Preference for candidates who have experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements
Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
U.S. work authorization is required for this position
