The People & Culture Advisor will play a key role in supporting two People & Culture Business Partners including providing BP-led support across designated business areas, to deliver a high-quality, professional advisory service. The role focuses on managing employee relations matters effectively, ensuring best practice, compliance, and contributing towards a positive employee experience. At all time the P&C Advisor will act as a role model and ambassador for People & Culture values, promoting fair, consistent and people- focused practices.
Job Responsibility
Manage UK employee relations cases to a high standard, ensuring alignment with best practice and company policies
Advise and support managers on a range of people matters, including: Performance improvement plans (PIPs), Disciplinary and grievance processes, Restructures, Probation management, Sickness absence, Family leave, Flexible working requests
Take ownership of case management from initial query through to resolution, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up actions
Provide clear guidance to managers on their roles and responsibilities within P&C processes
Support with UK immigration processes, including: Advising on right to work, visa requirements, and ILR, Managing Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), Monitoring visa expiry dates and compliance
Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the People & Culture Business Partner as appropriate and provide regular updates on key issues
Contribute to People & Culture projects, reporting requirements, analysis of people data and trends to provide clear insights to support decision making
To shadow/play a role in some Business Partner initiatives as required, supporting continuous improvement and personal development including operational support on cyclical people processes, preparing materials and insights, and supporting delivery of key people initiatives
Requirements
Proven experience in a People & Culture (HR) generalist role with strong employee relations expertise
Sound knowledge of current UK employment legislation and HR best practice
