Job Description:

As a People Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping a positive colleague experience across the business. Acting as a trusted partner to managers and teams, you will provide expert guidance across employee relations and the full colleague lifecycle. With a strong operational focus and a genuine people-first approach, you will help ensure every stage of the colleague journey is smooth, compliant, and consistently high quality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and colleagues, providing clear and practical guidance on all people-related matters
  • Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
  • Coach and support managers on performance, absence, and everyday people management
  • Lead on absence management processes and support a range of family leave cases
  • Ensure full compliance with HR policies, Right to Work requirements, and UK employment legislation
  • Support onboarding and offboarding journeys, helping to create a seamless colleague experience
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and produce meaningful people data and insights
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, delivering timely and solution-focused support

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a People & Culture or HR Advisor role
  • Proven experience independently managing employee relations cases
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working with autonomy
  • Discreet and professional when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • A genuine passion for people and creating a great employee experience
