We are seeking an experienced People Adviser to join a leading professional membership organisation on an initial three-month contract, with the potential to extend up to a year and possibly become permanent. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact across the employee lifecycle while working in a dynamic and supportive People & Organisational Development team. As a People Adviser, you will provide practical HR advice and coaching to managers and staff, support employee relations, and contribute to projects that enhance organisational culture and employee experience. You will work closely with the People Business Partner to deliver solutions across all areas of HR and OD, including recruitment, performance management, change initiatives, and organisational development.
Job Responsibility:
Provide confidential, solution-focused HR advice to managers and staff
Manage employee relations cases and support managers with coaching and procedural guidance
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare workforce reports
Support organisational change initiatives
Deliver presentations, training, and HR updates to staff
Contribute to a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
CIPD Level 5 Diploma or equivalent HR experience
Broad HR knowledge, including employment law, performance management, well-being, and diversity & inclusion
Experience managing a generalist HR caseload in a complex environment
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and work flexible hours
