We’re looking for someone who brings strong people skills and a people‑centred approach, to join us as a People Advisor in our Central Services team. This is a fixed‑term contract until the end of 2026 to support an internal secondment. As People Advisor, you’ll work closely with the People Partner to deliver a first‑class people service to our Central Services teams. You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for people‑related queries, offering thoughtful, practical advice and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, reward and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, contribute to important projects, and help shape how we deliver people services across Central Services and the wider Bettys and Taylors Group.
Job Responsibility:
Provide confident, day-to-day guidance and support to managers and colleagues across BTG
Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activity, working closely with agencies and procurement to ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience
Partner with managers to lead or support employee relations cases, offering clear, practical advice aligned with our policies and values
Contribute to reward processes including job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and annual pay reviews
Ensure accurate and timely administration of people processes, maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance
Produce regular reports from our People and Payroll systems to support data-driven decision-making
Oversee DBS checks for Central Services, ensuring full compliance with our DBS policy and procedures
Represent the Central Services People function in cross-functional projects and working groups, contributing insight and expertise to drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
Experience in a HR administrative or advisor role
Strong working knowledge of people policies, procedures, and employment law fundamentals
Proven experience in recruitment and onboarding
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Confident working independently and collaboratively
