Job Description

The Pensions and Benefits Lead ensures the operations of Vodafone’s pension and benefits arrangements run efficiently and effectively for our members and employees, working closely with our providers to manage delivery. They also support the Head of Pensions and Benefits in designing and implementing employee benefits, benchmarking benefit design where appropriate and working with brokers, insurers and our flexible benefits provider to implement any changes efficiently.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of pensions and benefits, ensuring suppliers, advisers and platforms deliver a reliable, high‑quality service that meets agreed standards and governance requirements
  • Support the Trustee Board’s and its committees as part of the Executive Management Team, ensuring statutory duties, governance processes, reporting and member communications are delivered accurately, on time and in line with regulatory expectations
  • Lead the design, review and implementation of benefits using external benchmarking to shape benefit design and working with brokers, insurers and flexible benefits providers to deliver changes efficiently
  • Lead pensions and benefits change projects with strong end‑to‑end planning, bringing the right people into discussions early, managing delivery disciplines and dependencies, and ensuring changes are implemented efficiently with clear, sustainable outcomes

Requirements

  • Highly organised and self‑motivated, comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering work to a high standard in a complex environment
  • A clear and confident communicator, able to write high‑quality papers and communications for Trustee Boards, senior stakeholders and employees
  • Strong project management skills, with experience planning, coordinating and delivering change projects efficiently and with clear outcomes
  • Experience in pensions is beneficial, with the ability to work confidently with advisers, providers and governance bodies
  • Proven pensions experience
  • APMI desirable but not essential
