As a valued member of our in‑house Pensions team, you'll play an important role in delivering a supportive, high‑quality service across our Group schemes. Your days will be varied — from guiding members through their options to handling regular calculations and keeping our processes running smoothly.
Job Responsibility:
calculate pension benefits and talk members through their options in a clear, reassuring way
request cash disinvestments, monitor cash flow, reconcile payments and contributions, and keep our systems up to date
help manage the team's workload in line with agreed service levels and contribute to quarterly reporting
process monthly contribution payments on time and in line with statutory requirements
support the production of annual statements, pension increases, scheme accounts and member communications
take part in member meetings, occasional site visits and onboarding sessions with new colleagues
maintain strong audit controls and ensure all processes meet internal and external standards
Requirements:
experience in pension administration with a good understanding of legislation
warm, confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
the ability to interpret complex information and explain it simply and clearly
strong organisational skills, good judgement and the ability to balance multiple deadlines
high numeracy, accuracy and solid IT skills (experience with Profund is a bonus)
a proactive, accountable approach and the confidence to take ownership of your work
a collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues in a small, friendly team
