Job Description:

The Application Development Senior Manager (C13) will lead and manage a team of application developers, ensuring the successful design, development, implementation, and support of high-volume, real-time applications. This role requires a strong technical leader with deep expertise in PEGA, capable of driving end-to-end application lifecycle management from initial design through to post-production support. The Senior Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team, aligning development efforts with business objectives and architectural standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage a team of application developers
  • Ensure the successful design, development, implementation, and support of high-volume, real-time applications
  • Drive end-to-end application lifecycle management from initial design through to post-production support
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Align development efforts with business objectives and architectural standards

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in application development
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams with PEGA Lead System Architect (LSA) or Senior System Architect (SSA) certified staff
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and supporting high-volume, real-time applications
  • Extensive experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
  • Experience as Applications Development Manager
  • Stakeholder and people management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong hands-on expertise in PEGA platform (including PEGA 24/25 and PEGA 8.8.X), with relevant certifications (LSA or equivalent experience)
  • Solid understanding and experience with PEGA deployment pipelines and application performance tuning
  • Well-versed in UNIX/Linux environments and Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with real-time integration patterns (e.g., Kafka, messaging queues, APIs)
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and GEN AI solutions
