We are seeking a PEGA L2 Operations Engineer to manage end-to-end operations of PEGA BPM applications supporting Vodafone Germany business users. This role sits within IT Operations Engineering – BSS and is based at SP Infocity, Pune. The role focuses on application availability, operational stability, incident resolution, and close collaboration with development, testing, agile teams, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibility
Own and manage pre-production and production PEGA application environments
perform application deployments and required post-deployment activities
manage WebLogic clusters (starting and stopping applications/servers)
monitor application health through daily sanity checks and PDC performance alerts
troubleshoot business user issues and provide root cause analysis
analyse UNIX system and application logs to identify and resolve issues
maintain high application availability with minimal business impact
collaborate with developers, testers, agile teams, vendors, and business users
support incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL practices
operate effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining service quality
Requirements
PEGA L2 DevOps or Operations professional
strong knowledge of PEGA PDC, Admin Studio, Dev Studio, queue processors, agents, nodes, job schedulers, decision tables, data tables
confident in handling deployments, performance monitoring, production support for PEGA BPM applications
knowledgeable in AWS fundamentals (networking concepts, VPC, DNS)
experienced with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
proficient in UNIX systems with strong troubleshooting and log analysis skills
comfortable writing and analysing SQL queries
familiar with Kubernetes and containerisation concepts
experienced in incident, problem, and change management processes
PEGA CSA certified
relevant technical qualification (BTech, BCA, MCA, or Master’s degree in a technical field)
collaborative communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
