The COACH – Community and Opportunities at Children’s Hospital – internship program mission is to create a pathway for emerging healthcare professionals, offering hands-on experience, structured development, and dedicated mentorship. The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.
Job Responsibility:
Connect with patient families to confirm that all screeners are completed
Identify and resolve barriers to screener completion (assist with iPad troubleshooting, provide language-appropriate paper screeners, remind families to complete them, etc.)
Assist with patient portal sign-up, answer questions about logging in or navigation, and support general portal questions
Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities
Requirements:
Undergraduate college student in good academic standing
Enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026
Interested in working in healthcare
Strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable engaging directly with families and staff
Ability to navigate a fast-paced clinical environment
