Job Responsibility

Examining, evaluating and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention
Assessing the ongoing effects of intervention
Alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions
Reducing the risk of injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability
Promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness in populations of all ages
Administration, consultation, education and research

CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
NM Physical Therapist License or Temporary License
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
Satisfy Per Diem program requirements within dept
Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire and additionally as required

PATIENT SAFETY 2 - Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes
PATIENT SAFETY 3 - Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk
CONSULTATION - Consult with medical staff on patient care
PATIENT SAFETY 4 - Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner
TRAINING - Conduct training for medical, nursing and ancillary personnel in therapy techniques and objectives
