Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehab team at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time position which will have a caseload particularly emphasizing NICU support. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will support the Acute Care Rehab team, evaluating and treating patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a pediatric acute care setting supporting a multidisciplinary team as well as experience with patient and family education.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluates and treats patients with neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses
  • Extensive patient/family education
  • Works with multidisciplinary team care
  • Inservices interdisciplinary team members and hospital staff
  • Supporting the Acute Care Rehab team, evaluating and treating patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medical diagnoses
  • Having a caseload particularly emphasizing NICU support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Licensure from the FL Department of Health
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist Required
  • 1 or more year(s) Pediatric Acute Care Experience Strongly Preferred
  • 1 or more year(s) NICU Experience Strongly Preferred
  • Orthopedics Experience
  • Developmental Experience
  • Neuro Experience

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree
  • Previous experience working in a pediatric acute care setting supporting a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with patient and family education
