Job Description:

This unique leadership opportunity will be responsible for developing the new Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship program at Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The program has been approved by the ACGME and will welcome the inaugural class in July 2027.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing the new Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship program
  • Identifying and implementing the clinical and educational goals for pediatric emergency medicine
  • Collaborating with partners at Oklahoma State University to achieve educational, academic, and research goals
  • Building a leadership team to develop and support the PEM fellowship program
  • Serving as liaison with the ACGME
  • Teaching multiple levels of learners
  • Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship program
  • Assure compliance with ACGME standards and serve as liaision with ACGME
  • Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
  • Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
  • Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and support staff
  • Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership

Requirements:

  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine trained
  • Active Oklahoma medical license, DEA & BNDD, or ability to obtain
  • Previous experience as a Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director
