We’re seeking an experienced Pedagogy and Practice Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our national network, driving excellence in early childhood education through the delivery of G8’s Education Strategy and the National Quality Framework (NQF). Reporting into executive leadership, this role plays a critical part in shaping and delivering G8 Education’s approach to pedagogy and practice across our centres. You will lead a team of state-based Practice Partner Leads, supporting educators, teachers and regional leaders to implement high-quality curriculum, improve practice, and enhance outcomes for children from birth to five years, including their transition to school. This is a highly collaborative, influential role that balances strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, innovation, and sector engagement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to deliver G8 Education’s Pedagogy and Practice strategy aligned to the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of state-based Practice Partner Leads to strengthen capability and consistency across the network
  • Drive high-quality curriculum implementation, National Quality Standards and Assessment & Rating outcomes across centres
  • Analyse internal and external data, sector insights and research to inform continuous improvement, innovation and strategic focus areas
  • Design, deliver and scale evidence-based education programs, resources and professional learning initiatives
  • Collaborate with Operations, Learning & Development and other Support Office teams to embed a shared understanding of quality pedagogy and practice
  • Oversee teacher registration and accreditation processes, liaising with state-based regulatory and accreditation bodies as required
  • Actively represent G8 Education at sector forums, events and professional learning opportunities
  • Champion child safety, wellbeing and inclusion in line with National Child Safe Principles and G8 policies
  • Lead education change and innovation projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, outcomes and benefits
  • Foster a values-driven, psychologically safe culture and provide coaching and feedback to leaders across the business
  • Identify, escalate and manage education, safety and compliance risks in line with G8’s risk and WHS frameworks

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in early childhood education leadership
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, curriculum, assessment and rating
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
  • Strategic thinking capability with the ability to translate strategy into action
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A commitment to child safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement
