Are you a passionate PE Teacher looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Gravesend is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join its successful Physical Education department from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or Early Career Teacher who is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork, resilience, and sporting achievement. Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time opportunities. The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons while encouraging participation, confidence, and personal development.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and healthy living
  • Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities
  • Plan and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor and track student progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and enrichment activities
  • Support school fixtures, competitions, and sporting events
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and PE department

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching PE across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sport and physical education
  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
