Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, Qualified PE Teacher to join a thriving Secondary School in Soham. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to join a department that views physical education as a vital pillar of student wellbeing and academic success. You will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of sports and theoretical concepts across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a culture of health and active participation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and teach high-quality practical lessons across a variety of disciplines
  • GCSE & BTEC Specialist: Lead theoretical sessions for KS4 students
  • Inclusive Coaching: Adapt drills and games to ensure every student can participate safely and make progress
  • Extracurricular Champion: Coordinate fixtures, coach school teams, and run lunchtime or after-school clubs
  • Performance Analysis: Use data and observation to track student progress
  • Safe Practice: Maintain rigorous health and safety standards across all sporting facilities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Subject versatility with broad knowledge of various sports and strong grasp of GCSE Physical Education specification
  • Inspirational presence with ability to engage learners
  • Organisation and drive with commitment to wider school life
  • Compliance with enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service
