We have a fantastic opportunity for a P.E Teacher, who is looking for a Long term role, in a Secondary school in the Blackburn area on a full time basis. Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver high‑quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities in line with the national curriculum
Promote health, fitness and positive attitudes towards physical activity
Prepare pupils for practical assessments and support GCSE PE or BTEC Sport where applicable
Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams and fixtures
Ensure the safe use of equipment and follow all health and safety procedures
Assess, track and report on pupil progress in accordance with school policies
Differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities and physical needs
Contribute to the development of PE curriculum plans and departmental resources
Participate in department meetings, CPD and wider whole‑school events
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status
Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and assessment at KS3/KS4
Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
Ability to lead extracurricular sports and activities
