Job Description

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Batley is seeking a passionate and energetic Teacher of PE to join its committed team. This role is to start in September 2026 but an earlier start would be available. The role is full-time until the end of the academic year. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through sport, fitness, and healthy living, while contributing to a thriving PE department. Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events
  • Support whole-school initiatives around health and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive practice
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a team player
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
  • Two school based references
