Job Description:

This exciting position offers the chance to support Primary Care services by improving medicines optimisation and enhancing patient safety. As a PCN Pharmacy Technician, you will assist with structured medication reviews and support repeat prescribing processes, work closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other clinicians to ensure effective medicine use, promote safe, effective, and efficient prescribing practices, manage medicines reconciliation for new patients and post-discharge, and support audits and contribute to improving prescribing protocols.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with structured medication reviews and support repeat prescribing processes
Work closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other clinicians to ensure effective medicine use
Promote safe, effective, and efficient prescribing practices
Manage medicines reconciliation for new patients and post-discharge
Support audits and contribute to improving prescribing protocols

Requirements:

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Primary Care or PCN setting
Strong understanding of medicines management and optimisation
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic healthcare environment
