Strong understanding of PCB materials, stack-up formulas, and design trade-offs (e.g., schedule, cost, risk, and DfX)
Ability to develop balanced layout solutions using systematic and data-driven approaches
Experience in high-speed signal layout, stack-up analysis, and routing optimization
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Using electrical design tools and software packages

Job Responsibility

Lead layout floor planning and define component pinouts and fan-out strategies
Assess and optimize layer stack-up and routing for performance, cost, and manufacturability
Design and optimize high-speed bus layouts and PCB trace routing
Translate research and best practices into design guidelines and specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage risk, prioritize design decisions, and ensure consistent design quality across platforms
Designs portions of engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines
Develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements
Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development
Participates as a member of project team of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.

10+ years related Power Design Engineering experience
Solid experience with schematic capture and simulation tools (including SPICE) is essential
practical background with PCB Layout tools and techniques
familiarity with power development CAD tools such as Cadence Sigrity PowerDC also important
Working knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C/PMBus as well as firmware design experience are highly desirable
Extensive experience with both basic and power related Electronic Lab Equipment and test methods is required
