Job Description

We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Neptune, New Jersey. This role involves managing and maintaining system environments, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in system administration and messaging technologies, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and system optimization.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily system administration tasks to ensure the environment operates efficiently
  • Collaborate in the design, planning, and configuration of messaging infrastructure technologies
  • Provide ongoing support for Windows Server 2016, Exchange, Active Directory, and third-party applications within the Hosted Exchange environment
  • Implement new technologies and improvements to enhance infrastructure performance
  • Participate in patch management and system upgrades, including pilot testing prior to full deployment
  • Resolve technical issues and actively engage in problem management activities to mitigate risks
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting for efficient management of Exchange environments
  • Manage backups and backup systems related to Exchange servers
  • Ensure proper access methods are implemented and functioning, including Outlook Anywhere and other platforms
  • Monitor and maintain Linux MTAs, such as Exim, for gateways or antispam functionalities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange 2010/2016/Exchange Online administration
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Exchange management
  • Solid understanding of Windows Active Directory and Microsoft clustering technologies
  • Ability to manage backup systems and ensure data integrity for Exchange environments
  • Familiarity with various access methods, including Outlook Anywhere, and related technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Graph API, reporting web services, and Exchange web services
  • General knowledge of Linux MTAs like Exim for gateway or antispam purposes
  • Basic understanding of MySQL database systems
