We are looking for a PC Technician to support a contract assignment in Austin, Texas. This Contract position focuses on relocating and re-establishing workstation equipment, confirming that each setup is fully operational, and maintaining an organized work area throughout the project. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling computer hardware, peripherals, and cabling.
Job Responsibility
Move new workstation setups with care and attention to equipment safety
Reassemble and reconnect monitors, docking stations or desktops, and related peripherals at their new locations
Test each workstation after installation to confirm monitors, input devices, webcams, headsets, and connected hardware are functioning correctly
Organize and route cables neatly to create safe, tidy, and well-organized workspaces
Remove packaging materials, empty boxes, and other debris to keep the work area clean during and after setup activities
Handle hardware components such as HP monitors, docking equipment, keyboards, mice, webcams, and headsets in accordance with onsite requirements
Identify and report any damaged, missing, or nonfunctional equipment encountered during relocation and setup
Requirements
Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation, relocation, and peripheral setup
Ability to work with cabling and perform clean, effective cable organization
Familiarity with business workstation components, including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, webcams, and headsets
Experience supporting hardware from major enterprise technology environments, including Dell Technologies and Apple devices
Capability to lift, move, and position desktop equipment and monitor setups safely
Strong attention to detail when verifying hardware functionality after installation
Ability to work independently in an onsite contract role and complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
