Job Description:

Our client, a large professional services firm, is seeking multiple PC Refresh Field Services Support Technicians for a 9-month contract to support a large-scale endpoint refresh initiative. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on executing device deployment and replacement activities while delivering a high-quality end-user experience. Technicians will work under client direction and follow established standards, tools, and procedures to support day-to-day PC refresh operations across multiple office locations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute end-to-end PC refresh activities including device preparation, staging, deployment, and transition from legacy devices
  • Perform system imaging, configuration, and setup in alignment with client standards
  • Ensure all devices are properly labeled, tracked, and documented
  • Conduct pre-deployment checks including: Network/connectivity validation
  • User login verification
  • Basic application access testing (per defined checklist)
  • Provide onsite support during device handoff to end users
  • Assist with initial login, setup, and orientation to new devices
  • Deliver white-glove customer service to ensure a smooth transition experience
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for: Peripheral devices (monitors, keyboards, docking stations, etc.)
  • Network and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • User profiles and login issues
  • Escalate complex technical issues following defined procedures
  • Collaborate with local site leads to manage schedules, priorities, and logistics
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding deployment progress and issues
  • Follow all documentation and reporting requirements
  • Accurately update asset tracking systems
  • Maintain deployment logs and required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all client processes and standards

Requirements:

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on desktop support, field services, or PC deployment experience
  • Experience with PC imaging, configuration, and deployment processes
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and standard enterprise applications
  • Basic understanding of networking (Wi-Fi, VPN, connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures with attention to detail

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience supporting large-scale PC refresh or migration projects
  • Experience with asset management systems or ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, user profiles, and endpoint management tools
