Job Description:

AMD is looking for a skilled server PCB design engineer to design, develop, and optimize server PCB layouts for high-performance computing systems. The candidate ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable server designs that meet performance, thermal, and power requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop server board layouts, including component placement, constraint setting signal routing and Gerber out, using Allegro tools
  • Collaborate with EE, ME, SI, Power Engineers to come out PCB design proposal and optimize server designs for performance manufacturability and cost
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to resolve design issues and ensure compliance with industry standards

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3~10 years of comparable experience doing server PCB design or high-density board PCB design
  • Cadence Allegro tools skill is required
  • Knowledge of high-speed routing rule and power PCB design
  • Knowledge of AI server architecture is plus
  • Must have ability to communicate with various teams to articulate specs and requirements as they pertain to layout
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering or related field
