In a Controls role, you'll ensure rigorous and consistent management of Barclays' control environment in collaboration with business partners. Your work will safeguard the organization's integrity and compliance. Embark on a Transformative Journey as PBWM Controls Oversight Europe at Barclays, where you'll be at the heart of shaping and managing our Private Bank control framework across multiple prestigious locations, including Monaco, Switzerland, Dubai, and the UK. Your mission is to ensure we meet rigorous regulatory, reputational, control, and governance standards, ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the management of the Barclays Europe Private Bank control framework, ensuring we meet compliance, governance, and regulatory demands
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple locations and all levels of seniority
  • Conduct independent testing of controls related to payments, financial crime, and investment products
  • Design and implement controls to ensure compliance with Irish and European regulations
  • Deliver Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) to assess and enhance the control environment
  • Communicate and influence effectively to align stakeholders on risk, control, and compliance priorities
  • Assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial services, particularly in Private Banking or Wealth Management
  • Proven ability to test controls related to payments, financial crime, and investment products
  • Experience in designing and implementing controls to ensure compliance with Irish and European regulations
  • Experience delivering a Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Minimum Competency Code and Fitness and Probity Regime
  • Experience in delivering training to large, diverse groups
  • Excellent report writing skills for clear and concise communication of complex issues
