We are looking for a Payroll Subject Matter Expert to the Citi Shared Services Payroll Team, which is based in Budapest and is responsible for managing 44 countries’ payroll processes across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The Payroll Subject Matter Expert deals with tasks in day to day payroll operations, integrates in-depth specialty knowledge of the area and is able to solve complex problems. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills in order to exchange potentially complex and sensitive information.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the implementation of payroll projects for a set of assigned countries
Execute process and technology changes in cooperation with the global project team and Payroll Managers/Country SMEs
Participate in system implementation and testing
Analyse and interpret data and make recommendations
Prepare complex reports
Review and keep the documentation of internal procedures and business requirements up-to-date
Serve as subject matter expert for payroll technology within the team
Manage and report system issues with transparency
Collect change requests and prepare EPIC documents in JIRA for technology team
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a related role
Bachelor’s/University degree
Good communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
Excellent analytical skills
Proactivity and working independently is a must
Nice to have:
Project management experience and Workday technical knowledge is an advantage
