One of our clients is currently looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Technician to join its dynamic team located in Ville Saint-Laurent. Job Responsibility:

  • Enter and validate employee data (new hires, departures, status changes, benefits)
  • Calculate and process governmental remittances (Source Deductions, CSST/CNESST, etc.) and ensure compliance with tax and legal standards
  • Prepare year-end documents (production of T4, Relevé 1 slips, and other tax documents)
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and taxes
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting departments

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • AEC, DEC in Accounting/Payroll, or PCP certification (a major asset)
  • Proficiency with a recognized payroll system (e.g., Nethris, Desjardins, ADP, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec and Canadian labor laws and tax regulations
  • Rigor, discretion, strong organizational skills
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
