Are you a seasoned payroll leader who thrives in a high-touch, fast-paced environment? This is a pivotal role within a global luxury group, responsible for overseeing and executing the full payroll spectrum for Australia and New Zealand. This role requires a unique blend of technical mastery and "people first" leadership. You will manage one direct report and must have prior experience in formal people management—supporting, coaching, and developing team members.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and administer fortnightly payroll activities for different business units across ANZ
Utilize Workday and Kronos to process payroll, including complex monthly commission runs
Ensure strict adherence to the Fair Work Act, tax obligations, PAYG, and superannuation
Act as a key partner to the different business units, providing clarity and holding your own when navigating competing priorities
Liaise closely with Finance on GL allocations, post-payroll reconciliations, and year-end reporting
Monitor annual and ad-hoc salary reviews and yearly bonus processes
Requirements:
Proven experience in a payroll leadership position within a fast-paced environment
Direct experience managing staff, with the ability to define objectives and provide ongoing career development
Strong technical proficiency in Workday and Kronos is essential, along with a deep understanding of Modern Awards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a social, confident approach
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and able to push back professionally to maintain compliance standards
Ability to build and manage authentic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Accounting / Finance Qualification or equivalent Payroll processing experience
