Our client is a highly successful national business within an essential industry, offering strong job security and long-term stability. Based in Brisbane’s Eastern suburbs, they are currently seeking a Payroll Team Leader to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as Second-in-Charge (2IC) to the Payroll Manager, driving daily operational success
  • Mentor, support and guide the payroll team while handling complex query escalations
  • Take direct ownership of a complex, construction-based payroll stream
  • Support and oversee the team, stepping in to provide hands-on coverage
  • Ensure processing strictly adheres to highly award-driven and multi-state framework compliance

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Extensive experience operating within a high-volume payroll environment
  • experience using iChris
  • Solid experience interpreting complex EBAs
  • Great people skills with a collaborative, mentoring communication style and natural problem-solving abilities
  • Full and unlimited Australian working rights
