Job Description:

This hybrid role focuses exclusively on payroll tax and compliance for clients across multiple states, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will excel in managing client accounts, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with state-specific regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee payroll tax compliance and reporting for a rotating portfolio of 10-15 clients across 48 states
Manage the setup and onboarding of payroll taxes for new clients, ensuring systems are properly configured
Prepare and submit state filings, licensing, and compliance reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Maintain strict adherence to calendar-driven deadlines and self-manage tasks effectively
Collaborate with clients to address unique compliance requirements for payroll taxes in different states
Ensure all payroll tax deposits and reporting are accurate and timely
Provide expertise in multi-state payroll regulations and compliance
Support internal teams with payroll tax-related inquiries and documentation as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll tax and compliance
Proficiency in multi-state payroll processes, including compliance across 48 states
Strong knowledge of payroll systems
Experience managing payroll for organizations with over 500 employees
Expertise in local payroll tax regulations and reporting
Proven ability to handle payroll tax deposits and filings with accuracy
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work in a hybrid schedule and be available for on-site collaboration when required
