Our client is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst in Sugar Land, Texas. In this role, you will manage payroll tax processes, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll tax reconciliation, reporting, and deposits, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and file multi-state payroll tax returns and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations
Manage payroll tax deposits and payments in accordance with established deadlines
Reconcile payroll tax accounts to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll tax reporting requirements
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll tax-related inquiries and provide necessary support
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of payroll tax operations
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-state payroll tax processing and reporting
Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Proficiency in preparing and reconciling payroll tax returns and deposits
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis tools
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
