Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Payroll Systems Specialist to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary. We’re looking for a collaborative and curious Payroll System Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll help ensure our payroll systems run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. You’ll work closely with system managers, operational teams, and subject matter experts to improve processes, strengthen system resilience, and support positive outcomes for our customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting payroll system functionality and helping to enhance ways of working
  • Conducting user testing, validating changes, and supporting smooth implementation
  • Providing technical support and offering well-reasoned solutions to complex payroll issues
  • Supporting projects by contributing to business testing and safeguarding operational processes
  • Monitoring payroll non‑production environments and reviewing data and system behaviours
  • Carrying out system reviews, disaster recovery testing and contingency checks to strengthen resilience
  • Collaborating with colleagues and covering aspects of implementation activity when needed
  • Embedding Conduct Risk principles and helping deliver good customer outcomes

Requirements

  • Experience working with payroll processes, reconciliations, and system functionality
  • Strong testing expertise across stages such as SIT, BAT and PAT
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify, diagnose and resolve system issues
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • Effective prioritisation and organisational skills, with experience structuring testing activity
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • A supportive team player who works inclusively and collaboratively
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and an interest in continuous improvement
