We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role involves leading the payroll operations team and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for optimizing processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee a team of payroll operations specialists, ensuring effective work allocation, training, and issue resolution
Manage daily payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely processing in collaboration with managed service providers
Conduct regular reviews and approvals of payroll actions while upholding internal controls and segregation of duties
Serve as the primary liaison between payroll operations and departments such as HR, Benefits, Finance, and Talent Acquisition to address and resolve issues
Analyze service tickets to identify trends and propose process improvements for enhanced compliance and efficiency
Provide Tier 2 support and handle escalated payroll-related issues that require advanced problem-solving
Lead quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations, corrective entries, and W-2 processing
Ensure compliance with audit standards and provide necessary documentation to support internal and external audits
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation to support payroll operations and ensure consistency
Partner with vendors to ensure payroll systems and processes remain effective, accurate, and aligned with business needs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of payroll operations experience, including team supervision or leadership
Familiarity with payroll systems such as Ceridian Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms
CPP certification is preferred
Strong understanding of compliance standards and audit requirements related to payroll
Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage team dynamics and vendor relationships
Experience in handling escalated issues and providing Tier 2 support effectively
