We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote each week. The successful candidate will oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing while leading a dedicated team of professionals.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and supervise a team responsible for payroll operations, ensuring work allocation, training, and resolution of payroll-related incidents
Oversee payroll processing activities, maintaining compliance with audit requirements and internal controls
Act as the primary liaison between payroll and other departments, including HR, benefits, compensation, and finance, to address support needs and resolve issues
Collaborate with managed services providers to ensure payroll accuracy and timely execution
Analyze service tickets to identify trends, propose process improvements, and update policies or procedures
Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
Lead quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations, corrective entries, and W2 processing
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for payroll operations
Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
Test payroll system functionality and assist in implementing updates as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5 years of payroll supervision or leadership experience
Familiarity with payroll systems such as GlobalView, Ceridian Dayforce, and SuccessFactors HR is preferred
CPP certification is a plus
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, internal controls, and audit processes
Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative work environment
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement
Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Nice to have:
