We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor/Manager to oversee payroll operations for a multi-state organization in the hotels industry. This Contract position is based in Broomfield, Colorado, and offers an opportunity to contribute your expertise to ensure payroll processes are efficient and accurate. The ideal candidate will excel in managing full-cycle payroll and demonstrate a strong understanding of compliance and multi-state regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate bi-monthly payroll execution
Supervise payroll activities for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Utilize Workday and other payroll systems to maintain accurate employee records and streamline payroll operations
Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, inquiries, and issues promptly and professionally
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll aligns with organizational policies and budget requirements
Prepare and review payroll reports for audits, reconciliations, and internal reviews
Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates to maintain compliance
Train and support team members in payroll procedures, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment
Work closely with management to develop strategies for improving payroll efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management or supervision, preferably in a multi-state environment
Proficiency with Workday and other payroll systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements across multiple states
Demonstrated ability to handle complex payroll processes with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve payroll discrepancies effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
