Job Description:

Our rapidly growing client is looking for a skilled Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join their team in Gallatin, Tennessee. In this hybrid role, you will work onsite one day per week and play a key part in overseeing payroll operations for a growing workforce. This is a contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to advance your career in payroll management. The role does require a moderate amount of overnight travel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and guide two payroll clerks, ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing
  • Manage payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 400 employees, with the potential for growth
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including the preparation of payroll taxes
  • Resolve system-related issues and correct export file errors to maintain smooth payroll operations
  • Utilize ViewPoint and QuickBooks to oversee payroll processes and ensure system functionality
  • Provide leadership in payroll-related matters, focusing on process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Travel to other company locations at least once a month to oversee payroll-related activities
  • Collaborate with the team to implement best practices and enhance payroll systems

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management and supervision
  • Proficiency with payroll software, including ViewPoint and QuickBooks is helpful
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and tax preparation processes
  • Ability to lead and mentor payroll clerks effectively
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills to address system-related challenges
  • Familiarity with payroll operations for large workforces
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes
